Like someone said earlier if this place was not used by military then it would be comparable to a motel 8 (if that). A/C doesent work whatsover. It could be 80 degrees outside and AC can be on 75 and the room will be 90. Water pressure is horrible and some mornings there was no hot water. The room was somewhat clean but the mattresses were nasty and lumpy. Ladies were nice although they seem to be used to disgruntled soldiers. The breakfast was always cold and it always tasted like leftovers.
Spent a lovely summer here in '76 doing my FA Officer Basic Course. Back then it was the BOQ/Bachelor Officers' Quarters. My class had all the "ring knockers" from West Point. Very Spartan accommodations back then.
When I checked in, I asked for an extra night on 30 June 2017. When I went back to.my room in the afternoon on 1 July, I could not get into room because front desk clerk did not key for 2nd night. Also on first night I called front desk to find out where the nearest ice machine was by bldg 5692 and was on hold too long. Agent did call back to let me know. When I found ice machine at bldg B, the ice machine was inoperable. I had to drive to main bldg (5676) to get ice. To top off last night (1 July), I found a roach in my room. If the military didn't make us stay at this hotel, I definitely would not.
If this wasn't on a military base this place would already be shut down. Where to start. The A/C's don't do a thing. They are old as hell the air vents face up to the window instead of out to the room so it never cools the room down. Constant humid nasty sticky air. The A/C has been on all day; it's now 8pm and it's still the same temperature. This place is always overbooked but they can't seem to replace washers/dryers that don't work. There's about 400 people per building for an entire whopping 5 washers and dryers. It's a dam joke. Can't air dry your clothes in your room cuz as stated above there's constant sticky air due to them being too lazy to update their A/C system. As stated above, they are always overbooked, so I got referred to a hotel off post. The dam place had bed bugs but I would still rather go back there. That says a lot. I would never pay a penny to stay here. I would rather sleep in my car.
Like I said in beginning, the only way this place survives is cause of military and the military schools that utilize it.
I stayed in one of the smaller rooms. The room is clean and mostly comfortable. The heating/cooling could use an update and the television is quite old. The internet speeds are pretty poor. The room includes a decent sized mini fridge and a microwave. The free breakfast includes some nice options.
